Moxibustion, the moxibustion method in Chinese acupuncture and moxibustion therapy, is a moxibustion material made of Ai Ye, which produces Ai heat to stimulate acupuncture points or specific parts of the body surface, and to adjust the physiological and biochemical functions of the human disorder by exciting the activity of the gas.It plays an important role in the traditional medical systems of China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Mongolia.
Although Moxibustion has been shown to be beneficial for one's health, the burning and smoke of traditional methods prevent many people from using it. However, modern science has created a smokeless method of activing moxa which eliminates the burning and smoke, while still stimulating blood circulation and activating the qi.
